Autumn Impressions
Autumn Impressions is an exhibit of photographs by Jo-Ann Ordano that capture the magical autumnal transformation of the great deciduous forests of North America. The show is open to the public October 1 through December 30, 2007, at the Helen Crocker Russell Library of Horticulture, San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum in Golden Gate Park. Clever Gardening Technique

Easy Clean-Up Tip
In order to reduce mess and keep my office clean, I keep rolls of plastic sheeting on hand. Whenever I repot, transplant, or otherwise mess around with dirt, I cover the work surface with the plastic. When I'm finished with the job, I just roll up the plastic, shake the excess soil into the garden downstairs, and plop the plastic into the recycle bin.
