Hand-in-Hand: Creativity and Gardening
Digging Deep: Unearthing Your Creative Roots through Gardening, by Fran Sorin (Warner Books, 2006; $13.95), is an inspiring exploration of the creative process. Even more importantly, Sorin invites us to discover and celebrate our unique, authentic creativity in our gardens and our lives. This is a gem for the experienced gardener as well as the novice. "Inspiration comes through the incubation of ideas; it cannot be forced," she writes. Sorin invites us to play, to dream, to trust, to let go and enjoy the serendipity.
