Tool or Gardening Product

Long-Bladed Trowel
This tool is my favorite for planting bulbs. I've tried bulb planters, and they work well, but the long-bladed trowel is faster. You just insert the blade deeply, push it to the side to open up the hole, and pop in the bulb. Pull the trowel out and the soil falls into place. With a bulb planter, you have to knock the soil out of the planter back into the hole. That may not seem like much extra effort, but when you're planting bulbs in the hundreds, it adds up.

Web Finds

Brent and Becky's Bulbs
It's bulb planting time, and if you're bored with the selection you can find locally, take a gander at the hundreds of varieties available through Brent and Becky's Bulbs. Beware, time will fly by and your list will be longer than your checkbook can handle. These are high quality, traffic-stopping bulbs.
