Desert Green X
The tenth annual Desert Green X conference in Las Vegas is geared to landscape professionals, although there are many subjects of interest to plant enthusiasts under the themes of Arboriculture, Irrigation, and Landscape Design Challenges and Solutions. Frankie Sue Del Papa, former Nevada state attorney general, is the keynote speaker. She is an advocate for highway beautification and tree planting. The conference, October 5-6, is sponsored by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, Southern Nevada Water Authority, Nevada Shade Tree Council, among others.
