Fiskars Power-Lever 25-inch Easy Reach Pruner
A recent right shoulder injury made me revisit my pruning tools. I need pruners and loppers that are light, powerful, and usable with one hand. Turns out Fiskars Power-Lever 25-inch Easy Reach Pruner fits the bill as a versatile pruner/lopper hybrid. With its two-foot length, 1/2 inch cutting capacity, and easy squeeze mechanism, I could use it in my weak left hand to prune crepe myrtle and roses. Cost is about $35. Jazz at the Morris Arboretum
How about Groovin' in the Garden at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania? On Thursday, August 17, 6:30 to 8 PM, the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble will play a unique fusion of jazz, African, Brazilian, rhythm and blues, and hip-hop music.
