Cooking with Berries
Most likely there are more recent books on using berries in the kitchen, but for those willing to search for out-of-print books, Cooking with Berries, by Margaret Woolfolk (Clarkson N. Potter, 1979), will not disappoint. Focusing on strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, and gooseberries, the book has a wide range of recipes including breads, cakes, pies, and muffins, as well as drinks, soups, salads, and main courses. There are also basic instructions for freezing and canning plus jam, jelly, ice cream, and wine-making. Although there are a few exceptions, most of the recipes are not at all dated.
