Grow Green Guide to Weeds
The online publication, Earth-Wise Guide to Weeds, is a great resource for identifying and managing some of the more common southern landscape weeds. It includes full-color photos and information on managing weeds with an emphasis on environmentally sound approaches. The section on various types of hoes is also very informative.

Weedless Gardening
Weedless Gardening, by Lee Reich (Workman, 2001; $9), is a great book with a simple approach to gardening. Follow nature's lead and garden "from the top down." It works! A nice side benefit is that weed problems are minimized in the process. This inexpensive little paperback may well be the best money you've ever spent on your garden.
