Web Finds

Wayne's Word
Surfing for info about poison ivy, I discovered Wayne's Word, an Online Textbook of Natural History by Professor Wayne P. Armstrong, Life Sciences Department, Palomar College, San Marcos, CA. The article "Poison Oak -- More Than Just Scratching the Surface" was both theoretical and practical, packed with botanic, chemical, and historic detail about poison ivy and poison oak. Yet it was easy to target the basics, such as plant identification, reason for the rash, and preventatives. An interesting resource for those itching, as well as the just plain curious.
