Perennials For All Seasons
Continuous Bloom, by Pam Duthie (Ball Publishing, 2000; $39.95), is a lovely book, arranged by month of blooming time and covering over two hundred popular perennials. She focuses on perennials in hardiness zones 4-8, and does a great job of instructing us on individual perennials as well as companions to plants in the garden. With this book in hand, there should be no bare spots in the perennial garden.
