The San Francisco Flower and Garden Show
The San Francisco Flower and Garden Show, March 15-19, at the Cow Palace, is a whopping good time if you love to garden. There are amazing garden vignettes by leading landscape designers, hundreds of booths that sell anything you can imagine having to do with gardening, club exhibits, and seminars. My advice is to go in the evening during the week to avoid the crowds.

Don't miss the Chick N' Caboodle booth. The mushroom growers will be out in force, and the bonsai exhibit is fabulous. I love the floral arrangements set up by the various local garden clubs. There is much to see, so plan on spending several hours, and for goodness sake, wear comfortable shoes! For more info, visit: http://www.gardenshow.com/sf/index.html

Bionic Gauntlet Garden Gloves
I have some great new gloves! The Bionic Garden Glove Company has come out with a new gauntlet style. The extra-long cuffs are tight-fitting so your sleeves won't snag on thorny branches. As always, the Bionic Garden Glove is perfectly fitted to the hand with stretchy elastic pockets over knuckles and joints. The pressure points are padded so that even gardeners who suffer from arthritis or joint pain can garden in comfort. The supple leather is durable and washable, with extra reinforcement on the fingertips. I wear these gloves when I garden, and I can't praise them enough! See them at: http://www.bionicgloves.com
