Xeriscape Conference
This 11th annual event sponsored by the Xeriscape Council of New Mexico includes a two-day conference dealing with issues related to water conservation, such as riparian habitat, river restoration, water management, and sustainability. There is also one free day of exhibits, demonstrations, and seminars featuring more how-to kinds of information for the public, including drip irrigation, water features, wildlife friendly yards, water harvesting, and more. Clever Gardening Technique
Shred Leaves
Run a lawn mower back and forth across piles of dried leaves to break them into smaller pieces. They will decompose faster in the compost pile or as mulch.
