Favorite or New Plant

Trailing Lantana
Trailing lantana (Lantana montevidensis) forms a beautiful ground cover in sun to part shade areas. Plants grow to about a foot high and 4 feet or more wide, and work great cascading over the sides of a large container or a tiered landscape wall. The dark green foliage is adorned with a profusion of either lavender or white flowers that attract butterflies. Trailing lantana is not bothered by insect and disease problems and is quite tolerant of drought and heat. Deer also tend to avoid it. It holds its foliage much longer during the cool season than other types of lantana.
