Houston, TX, Master Gardener Certification
Gardeners in Houston who want to learn about gardening on the Gulf Coast can sign up for Master Gardener certification classes. Beginning September 6 and continuing weekly on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. until December 13, the classes will cover the gamut of topics. Minor Fruits and Nuts
The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service has a host of publications available online. One of particular interest to gardeners in our region is a good overview of southern fruits that some might call obscure. Not every fruit in the group will grow for us, but many will, and they deserve more attention from home gardeners. Check out Minor Fruits and Nuts.
