Canadian Rose Society Jubilee Celebrations
The Canadian Rose Society celebrates its 50th anniversary July 1-3 at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ontario. Mr. Peter Beales, renowned rosarian, hybridizer, author, and president of the Royal National Rose Society, UK, and other distinguished speakers including Mme. Claire Laberge, Montreal Botanical Gardens, Ms. Liz Klose, Niagara School of Horticulture, and Dr. Lakshmi Sridharanm scientist and author. Program includes workshops, rose show, silent auction, and optional tours of Niagara and the surrounding area. Early discounted registration is available through May 31. Smaller events are being organized across Canada. Additional presentations by Mr. Beales are planned for Halifax, Montreal, Calgary, Victoria, and Vancouver.
