The Philadelphia Flower Show 2005
The Philadelphia Flower Show is an annual, winter-blues-busting, must-see extravaganza. This year's show has the theme "America the Beautiful" and runs Sunday March 6th through Sunday March 13th. This is the largest indoor flower show in the world, with over 50 full-scale landscape, floral, artistic, and educational displays and 3,000 individual amateur plant entries, plus daily speakers, demonstrations, and, of course, a marketplace. Fruit and Nut Cultivars for Home Planting
The University of Missouri has assembled a highly informative online series of homeowner-oriented fact sheets on growing assorted fruits and nuts. This Fruit and Nut Cultivars for Home Planting site is a good place to start researching how many plants you might need, what types of different varieties are available, and how to establish and maintain them. Check with your local county or state extension to fine-tune the recommendations.
