San Francisco Flower and Garden Show
The 20th San Francisco Flower & Garden Show, March 16-20, is where, for one wonderful week, gardens meet art and together they explode into color, excitement, and new ideas. Thousands of flowers and plants, six acres of extraordinary gardens, seminars and shopping, all in one show. Wake up from winter, watch those wonderful plants perform, and take a star home with you.

The show is in full bloom for five days only at the Cow Palace. The hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Don't miss your chance to get a glimpse of the full spectacle of spring! For information, visit the show Web site at: http://www.gardenshow.com/sf/index.html.

If you can't get to the Cow Palace, the Henry's Garden crew will take you on a live tour of the best of the show on KRON TV at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 19.

Clever Gardening Technique

Love Your Garden Gloves!
Leave leather or cloth gloves on your hands when you have finished your garden chores for the day. Wash your glove-clad hands with soap and water until the mud and dirt has been removed. It's best to do this outside or in a laundry sink.

Once the gloves are clean, remove them from your hands and lay them in a warm, dry area where the dog can't reach them. Leather gloves will dry stiff as a board, but will soften up in only a few moments once you put them back on your hands.
