Propagating Trees and Shrubs
If you're interested in going beyond propagating houseplants and want to try your hand at making stem cuttings of trees and shrubs, visit this Plant Propagation by Stem Cuttings site from North Carolina State University. It notes the best type of cutting (softwood, hardwood, or semi-hardwood) to use for different types of plants, and explains how to take the cuttings. Most of the plants are hardy in New England.
