Books

In the Company of Stone
In the Company of Stone, by Dan Snow (Artisan Publishing, 2001; $22.50), is a book dedicated to the art of the stone wall. Dry stone walls are built without mortar, and many have withstood the test of time. This is basically a pictorial book, but it does include instructions for building stone walls. It also discusses the various types of dry walls, including curved, staggered, spheres, and staircases.
