Cooking Seasonal Produce
The Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition (MACSAC) has collected recipes from the members of community supported agriculture farms in this cookbook, From Asparagus to Zucchini: A Guide to Cooking Farm-Fresh Seasonal Produce (MACSAC, $18.50). Not only does the book support the entire concept of the community supported farm, but the recipes are creative and delicious! It's available through the Web site: http://www.MACSAC.org.

Homemade Hose Guides
A wonderful way to create homemade hose guides is to insert a length of rebar (whatever height you want) securely into the ground at the corners of flower beds. Then slip a copper tube, available from the plumbing section of the hardware store, over the rebar. Top with a decorative finial, which you also can find at the hardware store. The copper will take on a lovely patina, and you now have an attractive piece of garden art as well as a nicely functional hose guide.
