A Conservatory Holiday
Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati's Eden Park is transformed into settings for classic children's stories with poinsettias, cyclamen, and other holiday plants. In addition, the giant music box returns, and the holiday tree is again decorated with ornaments made of natural materials. The show runs from November 20, 2004, until January 2, 2005. Regular hours are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, with special hours of 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. from December 6 through December 30. For further information, call the Krohn Conservatory at (513) 421-5707, or visit http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/cityparks/pages/-3452-/

Natural Holiday Decorations
The mothers of all natural holiday decorations are those of Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. In Christmas Decorations from Williamsburg (Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, 1992; $19.95), Susan Hight Rountree presents a wealth of ideas and how-to's for creating imaginative wreaths, swags, roping, kissing balls, and cones for indoors and out, using fresh and dried plant material. There are also sections on topiaries, Christmas trees, and holiday tables, including some food recipes.
