Felco Pruners
What can I say but "Don't touch my Felcos!" I've tried many other pruners and still come back to the simplest-of-simple bypass pruners. They feel good in my hand, and as long as they are kept sharp, they make the cleanest cut ever. They are available in garden centers and by mail order, and although they seem expensive at first, they are well worth the investment for comfort and efficiency.

Use Seashells for Houseplant Care
My favorite method of keeping my cats out of houseplants is to cover the soil with seashells. It is a beautiful mulch, dressing up the plants attractively, and best of all, the cats don't like the sharp edges. I also use shells as an attractive base to set my pots on for adding humidity. Simply fill a saucer with shells, fill the saucer with water, and set the pot on top.
