Favorite or New Plant

Crabapple 'Donald Wyman'
With over 400 named varieties of crabapples, it can be hard to make a choice. However, since many crabapples are susceptible to a bacterial disease known as fireblight, some varieties will do better in your landscape than others. One of my favorites is 'Donald Wyman'. It produces beautiful white and pink flowers in spring followed by small, bright red fruits. If you're into a bird-friendly garden, this is a very good choice.
