A Warm Drink for Cold Days - Hot Apple-Cherry Cider
Use your crockpot to add a new twist to apple cider. Mix 3-1/2 quarts apple cider and 2 cinnamon sticks in the crockpot. Heat on high for 3 hours. Next, stir in two 3-ounce packages of cherry-flavored gelatin.

Heat for another hour, allowing the gelatin to dissolve. Turn heat to low and serve directly from the crockpot with a ladle.

Favorite or New Plant

An Old Fashioned Rose
If your landscape is lacking winter interest, now is the time to plan to make some new additions. Some of the hardiest of roses are the old fashioned shrub types. Among our favorites is Rosa spinosissima, with simple white flowers in spring, golden fall foliage, and lustrous, black rose hips. Browse through rose catalogs to discover some new and hardy roses for spring planting.
