The plant is quite abundant in the forest on the hillside near my house.
  • Posted by KFredenburg (Black Hills, SD - Zone 5a) on Jun 6, 2020 4:09 PM concerning plant:
Clusters of dainty blue spring flowers on 1 to 2-foot slender stems above handsome heart-shaped leaves.
For best results (if planting more than one of these plants), space each one at least a foot apart from each other.
    Landscape uses:
Plant Siberian bugloss in an informal perennial garden where its seedlings will not be objectionable, among shrubs or in a woodland garden, where it can spread to form a ground cover. It is an attractive companion for spring bulbs.

We moved to southern Montana from Southern California . The spring this plant came up in the shady places of our yard. It looks fantastic until fall, is completely deer and rabbit resistant and requires little from us. A super surprise
