In German it translates to "mound culture." Building one of these mounds takes a bit of work, but it will last for a long time, and it will be a self-watering, self-feeding, and self-composting raised bed! I have the great fortune to have just bought several fruit trees from this nursery. Shipped from CA and arrived very promptly. Nice size plants, most 3 ft tall or taller. They have not missed a lick having just traveled across the country. I found the descriptions on the website very informative, whether a certain tree needed a pollinator or not. I would definitely buy from this nursery again if I need fruit trees.
