Cucumber harvest
When is the right time to harvest a cucumber? I already have 2 big cucumbers on my plant but I don't know when to pick them. They still have these little white things on the outside and I'm not sure what they are or what they do. Should I pick them now or wait until the white things fall off?

It depends on the type of cucumber you planted. Best thing is to experiment. Pick a small cucumber and try it. Then pick a large cucumber and compare the taste of the two. It's up to your taste buds. Some larger cucumbers are bitter but again it depends on the variety. Compare the taste and you'll soon learn to pick the cucumber size that suits your taste.
