tomatos and peppers

this year I have planted purple peppers and purple tomatoes (called purple prince) I don't know what the name of the purple pepper is also last year I found a cucumber that is round if you pick early it taste like a cucumber if you let it grow big it taste like a melon but I son't have the name of it does anyone know it's name and has anyone tasted the tomatoes and peppers are they good. I planted strawberries that taste like rasberries this year and i'm antious to try those in jam (less seeds) Has anyone tried the yellow beets or the one that look like a candy cane (colour wise red white rings like a tree till it hits the center of the beet quite neet looking)
