Begonia elatior
Elatior is a hybrid that is best treated as an annual. Like many hybrids, they are manipulated by growers to produce a single set of beautiful flowers, but they are weakened after that. I suggest that you discard the plant and not feel badly about it.

Quoting Lore: ------------
-Received this plant in full bloom. Kept near sunny window-but not in direct sun. Plant lost all flowers, and is slowly dying. Bits of new growth, but eventually dies. Can't find info on this particular type. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong. Stems are turning to jelly and dying. Don't even know if tuberous or what...Any help appreciated.
