Cutting Herbs
Posted by Karen from ma on 2002-06-10 21:49:26

I have planted thyme, rosemary, and oregano. What is the best way to cut small amounts for cooking to insure the plant continues to grow?

No matter how you trim the herbs, they should grow. Taking off the whole stem will promote more growth at the base. Also if you just pinch off the ends of the stems for the tastiest part of the herb, the plant will still bush out and grow nicely.
