Cucumbers/Watermelon

last week I planted some cucumbers and watermelon in my garden patch. They are in full sun but still haven't sprouted yet- what's gone wrong?

Probably nothing - be patient! Is it new seed, are you keepng them moist, if so seven days is not unusual. Remember they like rich soil for growing on.

Yes, well, patience is a virtue but if they haven't come up in 12 days I would plant more seed. The soil will be warmer which is also an element in sprouting.
