I am soooo green at planting. I just planted a Mariposa Plum Tree and then noticed that the tag said "Needs Pollinator". Could someone please tell me what this means. Do I have to plant another tree?

Only if you want fruit. If you just want it as an ornamental, then no problem. If you want to get a pollinator, take the tag to the nursery with you so you can get the right pollinator. It needs to bloom at the same time so the bees can do their thing.
