Pests

I live in Siciy, Italy and I'm having quite a time with pests. The biggest ones are aphids and ants. They're every where. Walking through my garden and crawling on the fruit trees. I would try to use a commercial insecticide but it's a bit hard to translate the Italian. Also the don't sell the bottles that you can screw on to your hose for easier distribution so I'm having to mix everything by hand.
Any help out there?
