Jasmine vines care

My Jasmine vines are all over. I tried to put a stick in the middle of the pot and tie the vines so it would grow straight up. But it seems like I'm hurting the flowers and new leaves. What should I do?

    Emma,
    You might have better luck with a trellis rather than a stick. The vines will naturally wind their way up it.
    If you have to do any tying, do it when the plant needs water- it may be less brittle then.
