squash bug
I am a very experience organic gardener (35 years) but the squash bug has got me beat. I have tried every organic technique I know of--spent hours every day last summer killing the adults and squashing (ha) the eggs and managed to get only 8 butternuts and no zukes at all. I've tried companion planting with a wide range of plants--no luck. Does anybody know of anything that works. (Pyola spray from Gardens Alive works technically, but you have to get a direct hit on the eggs. Come on! On the underside of every leaf on a mature winter squash!!?? I've posted on a number of forums trying for some really useful suggestions.

Marsha has done a very good job of listing not only the pest, with pictures, but a number of ways to control them.
