-Some of my Hostas are being eaten (the stalks) near the base of the plant. Any idea what it is and how do I get rid of them?

The two most frequent pests that I can think of for hostas is slugs and dear. The dear would probably chew from the tops as they think hostas are like desert. Slugs usually chew holes in the leaves and stems.
Let me know which it is and we can come up with a remedy.
