I am doing a science fair project and i need to know what type of soil marigolds grow best in
Potting Soil, Potting with ash, sand or red mud/clay

You need to obtain samples of each type of soil and plant the marigolds in rach sample and then document the care given making sure the only variable is the soil type. Most likely you need to have these as a display at the Fair anyway.
