Quoting KAREN LOWRY: ------------
-i saved the heads of my zinnias from last year and put them up to dry, will they come back from seed,? and how deep should i plant? thank you
Zinnias self sow here in zone 8 quite readily, but plant your saved zinnia seeds when the soil has warmed and frost danger is pretty much over. Cover lightly with soil and water in. Your saved seed should do quite well. Some folks turn up their nose at the lowly zinnia, but I have found that it attracts butterflies in droves and even the hummingbird moths seems to like them!
