My Daughter and I would like to plant a few rose bushes this year, could you please tell us the correct way to go about this. We live in New Paltz, NY. It's about 1 and a half hours north of New York City.

    for planting and caring for roses at the
    link above (in green). What kind of
    roses are you planning to grow?

    Our shrub roses got completely buried
    and quite damaged by the mountain of
    snow left by the snowplow (and the
    bucket loader!) but they're so tough I
    know they'll come back. They needed
    pruning anyway :~) Ber
