Camelia roots
I have 3 camelia bushes which were 8-9 feet high. I pruned them severely. My question is about the root system after
such severe pruning. Does it decrease or stay about the same?

The root system will stay the same. If they are planted in pots then you could also prune the roots to keep them in the same sized pot, since severely pruning the tops would mean that a large root system would no longer need to support all that top growth. If they are planted in the ground, there is no need to do anything to the roots.
