Salt tolerant grass

Salt tolerant grass
Posted by Will from Illinois on 2001-04-05 16:14:15

I live in northern Illinois and am looking for a turf grass that is somewhat salt tolerant. I have an area where snow is dumped and want to try and get some grass to grow. Any help is appreciated.

Hard fescue is especially salt tolerant.
Tall fescue, with its deep roots, would do well, too.

You should also consider the amt of traffic and sunlight in the area.
