planting forsythia now
Air temperatures have little to do with whether you can plant hardy stuff, the soil temperature and condition should be the determining factor. If your soil is workable and not too cold, are spring things popping up(?), then its time especially if the shrub is dormant to plant it.

-Hi, Can anyone tell me if it's too early to plant some forsythias or should I wait until the temp stays above freezing at night? I am new at gardening and would appreciate the advice! Thanks.-
