prunning hibiscus shrubs
When is the correct time of the winter to prun back my hibiscus shrubs? They are almost 3 feet high, yet they continue to bloom through January. Thanks, michael j. mcdonough

-a friend has a couple of Hibiscus house plants that are in need of prunning. can I propagate plants from the cuttings? if so, how do I go about it?
what I really need to know is what kind of medium should I use for the cuttings? water, sand, pitting soil, other?-
Rooting cuttings.
Use a mix of peat moss and perlite in a 2:1 ratio. Tip cuttings with no more than two pair of leaves work best. The potting mix should be moist. Put the whole thing inside a sealed clear plastic bag to maintain the soil moisture and humidity. Provide warm temps, bright indirect light, and protect it from any direct sunlight.
