HOUSE PLANTS
Posted by TINA from TEXAS on 2001-03-28 20:16:33

I'M CURIOUS ABOUT A HOUSE PLANT OF MINE,
THIS PLANT I HAVE I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE NAME OF, ANYWAYS SHE IS GETTING BROWN ON THE EDGES OF HER LEAVES AND I WAS ONCE TOLD IT'S EITHER FROM LACK OF WATER OR TOO MUCH WATER, WHICH IS IT?
MAYBE NOT ENOUGH LIGHT? SHE HAS NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE.I HAVE MOVED AND SHE'S IN A DARKER CORNER NOW, BEFORE SHE WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE WINDOW.
I NEED AN ANSWER ASAP, I FEEL BAD!
THANKX
T

There are many possible cause for brown leaf edges. It is impossible to tell the cause without knowing the kind of plant you have and what conditions you are providing. In general, the most common causes of this symptom are: Too little water; too much fertilizer or hard water; too little light; low humidity.

Well Tina I think it is safe to assume it is because this plant is use to being in front of the window and its not now then you definiately more light. Plants do go into a little bit of shock when things change, so they need time to settle into there new homes. So you could either wait patiently to see if it will adjust where it is. But me personnally I would put it in the window or some place where it would get more light! I hope this helps you out some!!
