Creeping Charlie

I read that if I use 10oz. of 20-Mule team Borax with 2 1/2 gallons of water and spray in warm weather that this will get rid of my forever blooming creeping charlie. Has anyone used this method? Does it really work? Will it hurt my lawn?
Also, because I am not at all familiar with this product, is this Borax a liquid or granular?
I've tried weed killer but to no avail.
