Japanese beetles

We are trying to add a corner flowering shrub in the front of our house but want it resistent to the Japanese Beetle. We noticed they are attracted to some and not others. Considering a Java Red but also might like a Butterfly Bush. Anyone know if these are good/bad choices? Pleasse reply to email as well as post. Thanks
