Growing Seedlings

Growing Seedlings

How do you get the seedlings to grow upright? Each time I try to start plants (primarily tomatoes) they grow sideways in the containers. They never grow up straight and tall with a thick stalk like the ones that you can buy at the store.
I have 12 different varieties of tomatoes and I'm very anxious to have them turn out.

    plants always grow towards the light source... requireing the gardener to turn or rotate the starts.Having a compartmentalized tray makes it difficult, which is why I use plastic cups instead of a bulk tray. this allows me to rotate individual plants or even relocate them independently under the light source. Having a small fan also helps to strengthen the plants for the eventual placement outside...
