O.k. I might have too many questions here, but I need to get my garden right this year. How can I check my soil Ph? At what Ph do I need to add lime and is there a ratio to help me determine how much? Can I put down a permeable barrier to prevent weeds, and just cut holes in it for my transplants? I have a lot of clay. Should I use sand, peat, or a combo of both? I'd like to grow with as organically as possible, but Miracle Gro is pretty amazing stuff, and I don't have enough compost for my entire garden yet. Any suggestions? Also thinking about making my garden bigger. Should I till my grass into the soil, or remove it before turning the ground for the first time? Thanks for any help.
