growing corn and pumpkins
I am building an urban farm to supply the local homeless shelter kitchen, and of course I want to get as high a yield as possible. I am using the BioIntensive method from "GROW MORE VEGG" which I have used with great success before but I recently came across a mention of pumpkin and corn growing together as companion plants.
Does anyone know what the spacing is. Using GROW I don't get the kind of production #'s I get using beans instead of pumpkins.
With beans I get almost 5,000# of corn out of a long narrow bed. If I use the spacing provided by grow the numbers free-fall and we need corn more than pumpkins.
