What to grow in my zone

What to grow in my zone

Which vegetables you can grow in your zone is less about what zone you are in then what your soil is like and how much moisture these plants will get during the growing season. The only thing a Plant Hardiness Zone tells you is which plants will survive an average winter and since most all vegetables are grown as annuals that PHZ means nothing. People in zone 10, if their soil is in good tilth and they can deliver adequate amounts of moisture, can grow any vegetable at any time of the year.
