Slugs and Snails
In any garden with good healthy soil that is well mulched to aid in suppressing "weed" growth, aid in soil moisture retention, aid in maintaining a good soil temperature, and adding organic matter to the soil conditions that slugs and snails find really great are also created. I find that spraying cold caffienated coffee on plant leaves that slugs find delectable is an easy way to keep them away. This is much less expensive then any other means of control I have seen yet.
